Work Packet III (April 22nd-May 1st)

The purpose of this is for you to continue working on fifth grade skills while separated at this time. I have created a classroom in Khan Academy, and have made assignments for you in Vocabulary, Math, and Grammar. You will need to watch the assigned instructional videos, and then practice the skills by answering the set of questions assigned. I will be able to monitor your progress and provide feedback.

 

Say-spell-say

In the Spelling textbook on page 54, List 27, please write your spelling words three times and the vocabulary words with definition once. Make sure to double check your spelling of each word.

Senior Prayer

Mrs. Lucky has asked all our students to do something special for our NLCA seniors. Since there will not be a Senior Chapel this year, we want to make sure we do something special for them. This week for our Bible class I’m asking each student to write a prayer for the graduating seniors or choose one that you know and write a prayer for them. Here is a list of their names.

 Spring Flower Hunt

In this packet for Science I’m asking students to explore nature and document three different spring flowers by taking a picture of each flower. Then, conduct research online.

Questions:

1.     What is the common name of the flower?

2.     What is the scientific name?

3.     Are there any health benefits to the flower?

4.     Are there any interesting facts about the flower?

Choose the method for presenting your research and your flower pictures.  All key questions must be presented in the presentation in order to earn full credit for the project. Pick a day during this packet duration April 22^nd-May 1^st, and research that one day in history and the Christian Church. In the research please answer the following questions and send answers a written format.

2.    What were the years of the important events in church history?

3.    Who were the people involved in the historical event?
